POLIGRAFIKA among the European elite
At the beginning of March this year Poligrafika officially became a member of Eurographic Press, an association of the most important and most influential printing magazines in Europe (one from each country). The organisation was established in 1959 and now fifteen magazines are on its membership list. Poligrafika is the only representative of Poland and all other countries of Central-Eastern Europe.
The European magazines belonging to Eurographic Press pride themselves on having the total of over 280 thousand subscribers and reach half a million readers around the world. Apart from systematic exchange of reports on events in the printing business, Eurographic Press organises discussion meetings and contests for the printing industry.
Packaging manufacturersŐ conference in Warsaw
For the 8th and 9th of June this year, Pyrabelisk, a British company, organiser of the last yearŐs meeting in Warsaw devoted to security printing, planned a conference: ăPaper & Board Packaging in Central/Eastern EuropeÓ. The focus of this yearŐs meeting will be on the development perspectives of board and paper packaging in this part of Europe. Also during the conference, a seminar on technologies for brand protection will be organised.
The event will take place in the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw. The conference is sponsored by Mondi Packaging and International Paper; Poligrafika is one of the media partners.
Polish premiere of the Xeikon 5000 printing press on Poligrafia 2005
Poligrafia 2005 trade show in Poznan will be the first occasion for the presentation of the newest on the Polish market Xeikon 5000 digital colour printing press, whose world premiere took place on drupa 2004. It is worth noting here that 34 such presses were contracted there.
Xeikon 5000 is designed for digital print in full colour (CMYK with a possibility of printing in an additional fifth colour) on up to B2 sheet format. Its monthly workload can reach 3 million pages. It is made for both commercial printing (personalised and transactional printing) as well as for printing of variable data.
The press will be displayed at the stand of Xeikon International.
Shinohara 75VI with a flexo print option
On the 23rd of March in a printing house in Elblag, a service team of the Polish representative of Shinohara Đ Mercator Poligrafia company Đ started installation of the new Shinohara 75VI offset printing press. Printing in this technology is done thanks to a configuration of six ink units in combination with varnishing units equipped with a doctor blade, which enable print with flexo water-based inks.
It is, according to the supplier, the first offset Shinohara with such print capabilities in Poland. It was supposed to start running at the beginning of April.
10 years of Pasaco
On the tenth anniversary of the Pasaco company, a ceremonial meeting was held at the Warsaw Meeting Premiera fair, where an ISO 9001:2000 certificate, earned by the company in 2004, was given.
Pasaco is the only manufacturer of self-copying paper in Poland, which has been the companyŐs main product since the beginning of its operation; the company is also the leader on the domestic market of production and sales of cash register, fax and ATM paper rolls. In addition to production, the company also offers the service of placement of advertisements on the rolls.
Other Pasaco products include: computer papers and ink-jet papers, both in reels and sheets.
The company was established in 1995 and it is located in Solec Kujawski. In the10 years of its operation, it has grown to become the industry leader exporting its products to over 20 countries. It is a 100 percent Polish capital company and its yearly turnover reaches about 80 million PLN.
