The newest printing press for Polskapresse On Ifra 2005 in Leipzig, Polskapresse Publishing Group sign a purchase contract for the newest Colorman 4-1 printing press by MAN Roland for its new printing house in Silesia. It is the first printing press of the kind in the world and the most advanced in the 4-1 class. The printing house is being built in Sosnowiec in the Katowice Economic Zone; the entire cost of the investment is estimated at over 80 million zlotys. The printing house will employ about 100 people. It will be the 7th printing house belonging to Polskapresse Group. Tadeusz Winkowski in the finals of an international competition, ăEntrepreneur of the Year, 2005Ó The jury of the ăEntrepreneur of the YearÓ competition, organised by Ernst&Young, chose 10 best Polish businessmen. Among them, there is Tadeusz Winkowski, President and co-owner (together with Quad Graphics) of Winkowski Co. Ltd. This international competition has been organised since 1986; this year Poland participates for the third time. Forty countries take part in the competition and each country presents its individual winner for the international finals. Next yearŐs gala of ăEntrepreneur of the YearÓ will be held in Monte Carlo. Polish PuzzleFlow system in Slovenia and Macedonia PuzzleFlow workflow system by AC&C HSH Group was implemented in Delo, the biggest newspaper printing house in Slovenia. Together with Harlequin RIPŐs it controls two newspaper heatsetters, Creo, which produce about 40 thousand square meters of plates a year. Another plant in the Balkan region using Polish-made software is Evropa'92 in Skopje, one of the biggest printing houses in Macedonia. The printing house purchased a thermal CtP heatsetter LŸscher Xpose! 130 together with the Puzzle Flow Light workflow system. In a plant in Koceni, another program of AC&C HSH Group, PDF Organizer has been in use for the past two years. Software by AC&C HSH Group find application both in job printing as well as in magazine and newspaper production. Polish newspapers in digital version Digital versions of Polish magazines and newspapers can now be purchased and also subscribed through the NetPress.pl internet service and read on a personal computer. The Internet News-stand was set up by "Taurus" Stanisław Roszkowski Printing House, which is also owner of the news-stand, with co-operation with an American partner, Zinio Systems. The company deals both with production of the digital versions of magazines and newspapers, and their distribution. In charge of this undertaking is Bartłomiej Roszkowski. Zinio Systems has substantial share in the market of electronic press in the U.S., where it offers over 270 titles. So far, NetPress has only several, but negotiations with the biggest press publishers are in progress and the list will soon be longer.
